ACCESS Development Services is an Indian organization that promotes sustainable livelihoods for underprivileged communities. It collaborates with various institutions across India, providing programs and technical support, while also leveraging policy influence to improve the livelihoods of over 410,000 households.
With great idealism, tireless dedication, and big hearts, Austrians Dr. Christine Wallner and her daughter Mag. Dr. Cornelia Wallner-Frisee drive the initiative “Africa Amini Alama.” Founded by the mother in 2009, the organization began by building a medical clinic for the local community. Gradually, its work expanded from healthcare to include education, vocational training, and social programs. The organization is funded through donations and sponsorships.
Since 2020, this nonprofit organization has been dedicated to protecting natural habitats along the Turkish Mediterranean coast through conservation, education, and research. To achieve this, DEKAFOK collaborates with a team from Akdeniz University. The name DEKAFOK is an acronym derived from the Turkish words for sea turtle, Mediterranean monk seal, and sand lily – all endangered species.
Since its founding in 1973, this registered nonprofit NGO has developed into a leading and trusted player in conservation, with growing recognition. EWT is committed to protecting endangered species and ecosystems in Southern and East Africa, benefiting animals, people, and nature alike.
This Dominican foundation works to restore the resilience of marine ecosystems in the bay, including mangroves and coral reefs, by combining community-based education, active restoration using resilient species, and vigilant protection.
The KOTO Foundation, operating from Australia to Vietnam, supports disadvantaged youth in Vietnam. Its philosophy is embedded in its name: KOTO stands for Know One, Teach One – knowledge is meant to be shared. This guiding principle comes from KOTO’s Vietnamese-Australian founder, Jimmy Pham.
Since 1972, this organization has been supporting families affected by poverty in the Middle East. It provides material and financial assistance to low-income households, operates a vocational training center for trades, runs additional educational institutions, and supports students.
Founded in 2006, this foundation is made up of a team of 200 rangers dedicated to wildlife conservation in Tanzania. Their goal is to protect animals and nature while ensuring that local communities actively participate and benefit.
This organization is committed to combating the exploitation of disadvantaged youth and reducing poverty in northeastern Thailand. Pimali provides practical training in the hospitality industry for young people and orphans, helping them secure a professional future.
This foundation uses tourism as a catalyst for community development. Through partnerships with local organizations, Planeterra helps communities leverage tourism to improve living conditions, protect the natural environment, and preserve cultural heritage. Its efforts are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recognizing tourism as a powerful tool for wealth distribution and sustainable development.
Founded in 2009, the foundation’s primary goal is to promote children’s education worldwide by building and maintaining schools. To date, it has established 1,000 schools across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, laying the foundation for a self-determined future for 200,000 children.
Smiling Gecko Deutschland e.V. is a registered association founded in 2018 that contributes through direct aid-both financial and non-material-to improving the quality of life and ensuring livelihood and food security for the rural population of Cambodia. On the Smiling Gecko Campus, a 140-hectare area located about 60 kilometers northwest of the capital Phnom Penh, socially disadvantaged Cambodians live and work. The main focus areas of this cluster project are education and vocational training, hospitality and tourism, as well as agriculture, animal husbandry, production, and trade.

It supports youth from underprivileged families in accessing university and vocational education, developing professional skills, and entering the workforce through mentoring and personal guidance – offering a beacon of hope for those seeking to develop their abilities and break the cycle of poverty through education.
Founded in 2021 and based in Estonia, this nonprofit organization brings extensive academic and professional expertise in marine conservation and restoration. Its team of scientists, engineers, and specialists has diverse backgrounds in tourism, conservation, biology, and sustainability.
The association aims to support community development in Africa, particularly in Tanzania. Its work includes medical facilities such as hospitals and health centers, schools of all types, women’s projects and microloans, kindergartens, and agricultural initiatives. All projects are carried out in close cooperation and coordination with the Tanzanian government.
Since 2010, this community-based nonprofit organization has focused on conserving and restoring ecosystems in Sri Lanka, including the mangrove forests of Koggala Lagoon and the coral reefs of Rumassala. WORC also offers travel experiences in these regions, with all ecotourism revenues used to fund ongoing conservation and restoration efforts.
