frequently asked questions

Do you have a question about the DERTOUR Foundation?

You’ll find answers to frequently asked questions below. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly – we’ll be happy to assist you.

How will my donation be spent?

The DERTOUR Foundation supports projects where help is needed most and where it can have the greatest impact. Each project is carefully selected to ensure that your donation is used efficiently and effectively.

On our donation page, you can also see how your contribution makes a direct difference – for example, a donation of just €15 can fund a reef star, which helps plant new corals and thus sustainably strengthens marine life

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, we will gladly provide you with a donation receipt upon request.  Tip: For donations up to €200, your bank statement is sufficient proof for tax purposes.

Can I suggest a project for the DERTOUR Foundation to support?

We are always delighted to receive new project ideas that align with our mission and funding priorities – education, nature conservation, and animal welfare. If you know of a charitable project you would like to propose, please share your idea with us! If your proposal meets our funding criteria, we look forward to receiving your project application. Every submission is carefully reviewed, and together with our Management Board we decide which projects will be supported and how the available funds will be distributed.

What are the funding criteria for project selection?

The DERTOUR Foundation supports social and environmental projects connected to tourism value creation in tourism regions. These initiatives empower local communities – particularly young people, women, and local residents – to continue the projects independently after the funding period ends.

To ensure sustainable and transparent impact, the DERTOUR Foundation always works with trustworthy national and international organizations that are recognized as non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Our activities are guided by a comprehensive set of funding criteria to ensure targeted and effective support.
